How to Review MCAT Practice Questions Without Wasting Hours
Practice Strategy · 2026-06-11 · MCATDATPrep Team
Practice questions only improve your score if you review them correctly. The goal is not to write long notes for every miss; the goal is to identify the repeatable reason you missed it.
Use three miss categories
Label every missed question as content gap, reasoning error, or timing/attention issue. Content gaps need review. Reasoning errors need comparison between the tempting answer and the correct one. Timing mistakes need pacing rules.
Keep a short error log
For each missed question, write one sentence: what clue should I have noticed? Then schedule a small follow-up set in the same topic within 48 hours.
MCATDATPrep helps students turn practice into a feedback loop instead of a pile of disconnected explanations.
